To better meet customer needs, ICBC is introducing new style Graduated Licensing Program L and N signs for motorcycles.
The new designs have the following features:
They are smaller than previous signs at 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 inches
The letters are white and reflective
The reflective material is brighter
The signs will be attached to the licence plate using one zap strap.
New/Updated Toolkits
In addition to updating the Class 8 Learner Motorcycle Tool Kit, a NEW Class 8 Novice Motorcycle Tool Kit has also been created.
ICBC Driver Licensing offices will issue the updated Class 8 Learner Motorcycle toolkits upon the successful completion of a Class 8 road test. The updated toolkit will become available as older stock runs out sometime in May 2011.
The new Class 8 Novice Motorcycle Toolkit will be available starting the week of Feb 21, 2011.
Will the older style signs and toolkits still be valid?
Older signs and toolkits will continue to be valid.
As a cost saving measure, the older style signs and toolkits will continue to be given to customers until the inventory is used up.
